Baked on protection
Colorbond® steel is made from a Zincalume® steel base (aluminium/zinc/ magnesium alloy) with a baked on polyester primer. It then receives a baked on protective colour coating that enhances its durability while adding design choice and aesthetic appeal.
Tried and tested for almost 50 years with proven performance in the harsh Australian climate, Colorbond® is an economical and practical solution, commonly used throughout Australia.
Colorbond® is available in your choice of two grades:
- Colorbond® Standard – now with Activate™ technology enhancing the protective coating of the substrate of Colorbond® steel
- Colorbond® Ultra – offering extra protection for constructions in coastal areas within 200m of the ocean and constructions in industrial environments sustaining fumes or particulate fallout.
